  17.                  * Because this demo was based on a pre-release version of
  18.                    Paradox 5.0 for Windows, the form contained in this self-
  19.                    extracting archive may not function properly. Should you have
  20.                    difficulty, we will include an updated version of the form
  21.                    in the next Paradox Informant Companion Disk. We apologize
  22.                    for any inconvenience this may cause. The demo form will
  23.                    not compile in Paradox 4.5 for Windows. In addition, you 
  24.                    may experience difficulty compiling the form in the shipping
  25.                    version of Paradox 5.0 for Windows.

  27. To use the files contained on this disk, please following these instructions:
  28.  
  29. Files with an .EXE extension:
  30. 1 : Each file that has an .EXE extension is a self-extracting archive. Once
  31.     copied to your hard disk, simply type the file name and the files contained
  32.     in it will be extracted. For example
  33.  
  34.     BT0394
  35.  
  36.     Runs the program BT0494.EXE. This will extract the files contained in the
  37.     .EXE file to the current working directory where the .EXE resides. For an
  38.     example of setting up the directories on your hard disk, see the
  39.     instructions in Step 2B below .

  42. 2 : Create a directory for each file contained on this disk, you may name the
  43.     directory anything you like. For example, you may want to consider a
  44.     directory sturcture similar to the following:

  62.      where 94JAN and 93FEB is the year and month of the Paradox Informant
  63.      Companion Disk and FILE1DIR, FILE2DIR, and FILE3DIR is a directory name
  64.      for each file contained on this diskette.

  66. 3 :  Use the DOS COPY command to copy each file with a .ZIP extension to the directory
  67.      you created for it in step 1 above. For example:

  69.      COPY B:\FILE1.ZIP C:\INFORM\94FEB\FILE1DIR

  71.      where FILE1.ZIP is the name of the .ZIP file to copy and
  72.      C:\INFORM\94FEB\FILE1DIR is the path to where you want the file to be
  73.      copied.

  75. 4 :  Once the files have been copied to the respective directories (in Step 1 above)
  76.      and have been unzipped (in Step 3 above), you are now ready to use the files with
  77.      Paradox. Depending on whether you are using the DOS or Windows version of Paradox,
  78.      the process of using the files will be different. For Paradox for DOS, use Tools |
  79.      More | Directory to change your working directory to the directory where the files
  80.      reside on your hard disk. For Paradox for Windows, use File | Working Directory to
  81.      change your working directory to the directory where the files reside on your hard
  82.      disk.
